Concept’s Story

Founded as Concept Engineering & Mfg., Inc. in 1984, we supplied quality engineering, design, and drafting services to companies in the highly competitive Milwaukee area.

A chief engineer would call with a need for a designer on Monday at 8:00 a.m.  No resumes, no background checks.  We would deliver a candidate on Monday as requested —sometimes including a drafting board!— and they would work until project’s end.  If business and the economy continued to be good, the client frequently hired that candidate permanently. Our long-term goal was to gain an industry reputation for supplying reliable, quality personnel at competitive rates.

While the search and recruitment industry has changed since 1984, we still take a personal interest in each individual search. Our relationships & trust with people & companies are more valuable than ever, setting Concept Professional Recruiting apart from our peers. After 30 plus years enduring the many ups and downs in the economy we can confidently state that we are well on our way to achieving that “long-term” goal!

While we may still “deliver” a candidate on a Monday morning, it is rare that we wouldn’t have first submitted a resume to the Human Resources department after an in-person interview as well as full background and reference checks!!

Today’s requests primarily call for help in recruiting permanent talent. 
The economy is good.  
Baby boomers are retiring.
“Who can you find for us?” companies ask.
Thankfully, with the reputation and network that we’ve built over the years, we have great resources to go to.
We’re happy to make quality introductions!
